Thanks everyone!
Now I have a TV(from Vivian who is leaving Sydney for good), a BIGGer fridge which can sufficiently store icecream cartons($490), a standard wash machine($440), a cheap microwave($85) and a heater($35)!! All from Goodguys, Alexandria.
Update: still looking for a new flatmate. ....sigh...can't people just make their mind up?

    how much did the rent rise by.?
    it can't be that much.
    if the rent is cheap then people would move in. i guess it's not cheap
